With Friends Like These

This level has an easter egg in the colormap, some funny lines from the Deceiver, and there's an interesting bit with a fourth Trow.

Normally, the level begins with three Trow. (And normally sticks to only three Trow). These are controlled by scripts named "Myth", "Oni", and "Blam". (Blam was the codename for Halo).

But on Legendary, the level begins with four Trow, the fourth being controlled by the Blam script. And if you start killing the Trow, a whole army of them will come to KIK U 2 DETH, so you actually have to play fair this time.

If you stand around and slack off by the Deceiver, he will deliver a couple of interesting lines:

  • Please don't make me look foolish in front of my friends.
  • I don't see a flag on this hill.
  • You do remember what a flag is, don't you?
  • I think he went that way.
  • No. The other way.

Asmodeus writes, "If you damage the Deceiver enough, by control clicking with your archers, you can get the big mob of trow to come out and smash you to paste."

"This sort of makes sense since the trow hold him in high regard. It also gets all those trow out on the board fast so you can kill 'em!"

"Seriously, if anyone can come up with a way to kill all those trow, I'll give you my first born child."

Addendum: Quite a lot of people on the Asylum pointed out that killing all four initial Trow will win the game, always. So if you can spot and take out those four Trow, even after triggering the big horde, you can still win the game, though everyone will die immediately afterwards.

Pyro brings an interesing tidbit to our attention. He says the colormap of this level contains a hidden secret. If you look closely at the enclosed box to the right of the map, you will see an interesting pattern within.

This is in fact the colormap from the TFL level, Pools of Iron which you can see in a larger size here. Pyro himself supplied these images.
