THE BARON
The Baron

Baron Volsung,

Beware, for not everything is as it seems. Those that you trust have fallen under the power of your enemies, and even now they plot in secret to kill you. You are not safe from them, even when you sleep.

I know that you have never considered me a friend, and at times we have even been enemies. However, I have always been forthright and honorable in all of our dealings. I must rely on my reputation to convince you that I speak truthfully now. We share a common enemy, and I would protect you from her schemes.

I cannot trust more to paper, as it will speak to anyone that listens, but meet me on the beachhead at Cavanaugh three evenings hence, and I will reveal the nature of the plot. Until then, guard yourself with great care.

Your servant,

Fenris of Ruewood

Mission Objective: Hastily make your way east down the beach to meet and assist the Baron. He must survive at any cost.
You must keep the heroes Four Bear Silent Oak, Fenris, and ne'Ric alive.

Notable Quote: "Fenris! You treacherous bastard!"

Notes: The Baron uses the same echoing "old drafty place" quotes, even though he's on a beach!

Legends and Lore is really Forrest's baby, though Gholsbane probably does more work on it nowadays. It also contains a lot of work from the Myth Nontoxic days whose exact authors have been lost or forgotten. Some of these lemurs include Joshstar, Orange, Lacrymosa, and poena.dare. Original "Journal of the Legion" concept by poena.dare and Hamish Sinclair. Other authors are credited as appropriate in their individual articles.

Myth at Bungie.org is now maintained almost entirely by Gholsbane and Zandervix; Forrest is (theoretically) still around calling the shots when he can be bothered to check his email, and Claude, as always, OWNZ U. Original Nontoxic™ webpage design copyright (c) 1998 by Joshstar; updates and revisions mostly by Forrest. Many thanks to all those old Nontoxic™ munkies - you know who you are.
