FLIGHT FROM COVENANT This is level five of
   Myth: The Fallen Lords.
Go to the Journal for literature and interpretation of the level.
When you make the detour north of the path through the swamp, kiss the north edge of the map and you shouldn't have trouble spotting Soulblighter, one of The Fallen Lords.

SOUL BLIGHTER on the COVNANT

Once you get near him with a unit he will turn into a flock of crows and fly away. This effect looks very cool so be sure you keep your camera on Soulblighter as you approach him so you don't miss it.

Are Myrmidons really the remorseless, bloodthirsty killers we think? Forrest Cameranesi discovered these bloodthirsty, walking matzahs doing something rather peculiar.

It's no secret that you can overtake the huge Myrmidon force in "Flight From Covenant" by setting up a booby trap at the northern-most gap in the wall.

Now that the puddle is laden with soggy explosives, the Myrms have to be lured into it. Ah, good old Berel the Unworthy hasn't achieved veteran status yet. He'll be the bait.

Only halfway to the trap and it looks like Berel's done for...

But what's this? They're stopping!

Indeed. As long as the bait warrior keeps moving his stubby little legs, the Myrmidons will never overcome him. Every time they get within a knife's length of him they'll stop and give him the lead again. Are Myrmidons really pacifists at heart, or did Bungie intend for inventive players to lure the Myrms into a trap all along?

Who knows? Who cares? Let's make Myrmidon soup!

Finally, although many people foolishly miss it, the escape tunnel you need to get to in order to complete the mission is out in the open in broad view.

EXIT CAVE

Save a moment to take in the beauty of the scenery before plunging into the dark mine entrance and making your get away.

Legends and Lore is really Forrest's baby, though Gholsbane probably does more work on it nowadays. It also contains a lot of work from the Myth Nontoxic days whose exact authors have been lost or forgotten. Some of these lemurs include Joshstar, Orange, Lacrymosa, and poena.dare. Original "Journal of the Legion" concept by poena.dare and Hamish Sinclair. Other authors are credited as appropriate in their individual articles.

Myth at Bungie.org is now maintained almost entirely by Gholsbane and Zandervix; Forrest is (theoretically) still around calling the shots when he can be bothered to check his email, and Claude, as always, OWNZ U. Original Nontoxic™ webpage design copyright (c) 1998 by Joshstar; updates and revisions mostly by Forrest. Many thanks to all those old Nontoxic™ munkies - you know who you are.
