The Cartorium is designed to be the ultimate Myth editor's and creator's resource. It has a variety of subsections serving
the different purposes needed in any modmaking community. We have attempted not to overlap and compete with
The Mill (in fact, we use The Mill for all of our file hosting). Instead, this site is designed
entirely for the Myth creator, providing how-tos, listings of files for free use in your own creations, classified ads to find folks
to help you, ad-free website hosting for promising projects, reviews of projects by prominant mapmakers, news on the modmaking
community and on this site, and a discussion forum to top it all off.

Tools
|
To begin with, the Tools section contains an index of all the 3rd party tools you'll need to get started on (or
finish) your project, as well as any updaters to the first-party commercial tools from Bungie and Mumbo Jumbo. This sections is essential
for anyone making maps for the first Myth, as there are no commercial editors available for that; but it also contains many useful utilities
for the later games.

|
Training
|
In the Training section, you will find how-tos written by skilled creators on topics such as colormapping, collection editing, model
editing, scripting, mesh editing, and tag editing. This section only covers skills specific to Myth - you won't learn how to draw here, or how to model a
unit in 3D, but you will learn how to make those images into pre- and postgame art and how to convert your models to Myth sprites or
import buildings into your map.

Resources
|
The Resources section contains a comprehensive listing of colormaps & textures, collections & art, building models, scripts,
meshes, and other tags made by various people and submitted for free use in your own creations. All materials that you use must be
credited to the original creator, and a thanks to us for finding them for you would be nice as well.

|
People
|
The People section is an automated classifieds database, which lets creators offer their services in the fields of colormapping, 2D
graphics, 3D graphics, scripting, mesh editing, and tag editing. Likewise, project heads can place Help Wanted ads for these same fields,
and creators can browse these ads for "employment".

The Forge
|
When all is said and done, or if you have any question, head over to The Forge
and discuss anything and everything regarding Myth editing and modmaking with your fellow creators. Remember to play nice so you don't piss
anyone off.

And also, don't forget to check out The Mill, the premier Myth file-hosting service, and
formerly a sister-site of Myth@Bungie.Org.

The Cartorium is brought to you by... YOU! If you are a Myth modmaker and feel you have something that you simply must
share with the world, then by all means, let us know.

Cartorium concept by and HTML by Forrest. Scripting by (You?). Thanks to Funky J for the name.

Myth at Bungie.org is now maintained almost entirely by Gholsbane and Zandervix; Forrest is (theoretically) still around calling the shots when he can be bothered to check his email, and Claude, as always, OWNZ U. Original Nontoxic webpage design copyright (c) 1998 by Joshstar; updates and revisions mostly by Forrest. Many thanks to all those old Nontoxic munkies - you know who you are.
No portion of this website may be reprinted without explicit permission from Bungie.org, unless it is content created and submitted by you. By submitting content to this site, you grant Bungie.org the right to use it as they see fit, unless otherwise negotiated in writing.
